AVA Interior Design is a full service design, decorating, project management, and organizing consultancy founded by principal designer Ania Maternicki.
“Since establishing AVA INTERIOR DESIGN in 2005, I have been fortunate to receive several awards and recognition for my work and continue to expand my knowledge through professional education and industry involvement. I am a member of BILD — the Building Industry and Land Development Association — and the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA). I am also a member of the Decorators & Designers Association of Canada (DDA), and I am currently furthering my education through the latest Adaptive Home certification coursework—an area I am especially passionate about as homes increasingly need to support changing lifestyles, accessibility, comfort and long-term living.
As Principal Designer of AVA INTERIOR DESIGN, my focus is on providing experienced, personalized design, decorating, styling and project consultation for homeowners, builders, investors and businesses. I am especially proud to serve my local community of Etobicoke, The Kingsway, Old Mill and surrounding areas. My work is hourly based through as needed consultations to improve the space function and beautify the surroundings to my client’s preferred style and intention.” – Ania Maternicki
Ania’s work has been recognized with three Top Choice Interior Design Awards and a recent nomination for the GEM of Etobicoke–Lakeshore, celebrating her excellence in design and community contribution.
The name AVA is a personal tribute to her family, formed from the initials of Ania, Vincenzo, and Andrzej, a reflection of the heart and values she brings to every project.
Ania is personally involved in each design, ensuring outstanding quality, thoughtful detail, and a seamless client experience from concept to completion. Her diverse portfolio includes:
